APC provides update on Tinubu’s trip abroad

Felix Morka, the National Publicity Secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has said the president-elect, Bola Tinubu, is in Europe resting ahead of his May 29 inauguration.

Morka stated this during his appearance on Channels Television on Thursday night. The programme, Politics Today, was monitored by POLITICS NIGERIA.

The APC spokesperson said: “He (Tinubu) is in Europe; he is fine. After the election, and all of the energy expended, he decided to take a rest, because once he returns and he gets into office, there will be ‘no dulling’.

“He would be saddled with the responsibility of running a country as complex as Nigeria.

“He deserves a moment of timeout to prepare for the massive assignment given to him by Nigerians. And I know he will take it seriously. I know he will be back in the country very shortly.”
