BAFTAs 2026 worst dressed: Teyana Taylor channels a gothic vampire as she joins Kirsten Dunst and Pegah Pourmand leading the stars failing to impress

The Baftas have kicked off and promise another year of glitz and glamour as household names gathered at the Royal Festival Hall in London on Sunday evening for a night filled with celebration and joy.

And while some stars such as Aimee Lou Wood and Emma Stone brought their A-game to the event, others attempts at red carpet glamour fell somewhat flat.

Among some of the more baffling looks was Best Supporting Actress nominee Teyana Taylor, who took to the red carpet in a vampire-inspired cloak with a huge collar hiding her gorgeous face.

The One Battle After Another star, 35, appeared to have thought she was at a Tim Burton premiere rather than an awards ceremony.

While it’s no secret that Teyana is a stunning star, her look for this red carpet just simply didn’t tick any of the right boxes.

Meanwhile Kirsten Dunst, 43, appeared to have taken her inspiration from a 1980s Mother Of The Bride with a jacket that boasted huge pink puffy sleeves.

Fashion designer Pegah Pourmand thought it was the Barbie premiere, but she was three years too late.

She wore a sheer high-neck sheet top with bedazzled jewels covering her modesty and it flowed into a hot pink satin fishtail skirt with a racy thigh-high slit.

Pegah teamed the look with a pink headband and toted her belongings in a chic bag. Known for her incredible style, this is not one of hers to remember.

Next came Adolescence star Erin Doherty, 33, who caught the eye for the wrong reasons in a dramatic navy gown as she posed up a storm on the red carpet.

The bizarre number featured a plunging neckline which flowed into a puffy pleated skirt, which would no doubt cause issue when it came time to take her seat.

Supermodel Leomie Anderson, 33, was another to miss the fashion mark totally as she opted for a ruffled white gown.

The stunner should have stayed on the catwalk and away from the red carpet in the kooky semi-dress complete with feathered gloves.

Meanwhile Maya Rudolph opted for what looked as though it had just come from Miss Havisham’s wardrobe.

The actress, 53, donned a black jumper over a white asymmetrical skirt with rose gathered detailing and paired with matching black and white shoes.

Hosted by Alan Cumming, this year’s ceremony will welcome stars including Leonardo DiCaprio, Timothée Chalamet, Jacob Elordi and Michael B. Jordan as the year’s biggest cinema releases are honoured.

Those walking the red carpet will be treated to a DJ set by Magic FM presenter Neev Spencer, while Clara Amfo and Ali Plumb will be reporting live from outside the legendary London venue.

A lengthy list of celebrity guest presenters includes Aimee Lou Wood, Alicia Vikander, Cillian Murphy, Ethan Hawke, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Sadie Sink and British grime artist Stormzy.

The Royal Festival Hall stage will also welcome appearances from Kerry Washington, Minnie Driver, Monica Bellucci, Patrick Dempsey and Regé-Jean Page, among others.

Entertainment on the night will come from a diverse spectrum of performers, including a first performance outside the United States of record breaking track Golden from KPop Demon Hunters, sung by JAE, AUDREYNUNA & REI AMI, the voices of HUNTR/X.
