Gunmen suspected to be bandits on Friday morning shot dead five worshippers at a Yandoto community, Tsafe local government area of Zamfara State.
They also abducted several others in the incident, which occurred during early morning prayers in the area.
A counter-insurgency publication, Zagazola Makama, confirmed the attack.

Zamfara, like other states in the North-West, has recorded several attacks from terrorists in the last four years, with more than 100 people killed and several others abducted during the period.
