Fulham sealed a 3-1 win over Brentford in the West London derby on Saturday night, with Alex Iwobi stealing the show at Craven Cottage.
The Nigeria international scored the equaliser before providing a stunning assist for Harry Wilson just before halftime, helping Marco Silva’s men turn the game around after falling behind early.
Iwobi’s brilliant contribution
Brentford had taken the lead in the 20th minute after a defensive error allowed Mikkel Damsgaard to strike.
But Iwobi levelled in the 38th minute, pouncing on a loose ball before calmly slotting home.

Less than two minutes later, he picked out Wilson with a perfectly timed pass, setting up the Welshman to curl in Fulham’s second.
The hosts added a third shortly after the restart when Ethan Pinnock diverted into his own net, sealing back-to-back league victories for Fulham.
Berbatov’s high praise
Former Fulham and Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov was full of admiration for Iwobi’s assist.
Speaking on Premier League Productions, he called the pass “unbelievable” and “world-class,” emphasising its timing, precision, and unselfishness.
“The speed, the risk, the vision, everything was perfect. That’s what separates a good team from a great one,” Berbatov explained, while also noting the difficulty of Wilson’s finish.
Fulham’s rise in the table
The result lifts Fulham to seventh in the Premier League with eight points, level with Chelsea.
