SaharaReporters learnt that Alhaji Sise was kidnapped from his residence in Boriya community in the early hours of Thursday.

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have attacked and abducted a trader and former ward chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Boriya–Shiya Ward in Baruten Local Government Area of Kwara State, Alhaji Abubakar Sabi Sise.

SaharaReporters learnt that Alhaji Sise was kidnapped from his residence in Boriya community in the early hours of Thursday.

According to information gathered by Barutem TV, the attack occurred around 12am when the kidnappers stormed the compound, firing several gunshots into the air to frighten residents.

Sources told Barutem TV that one of Alhaji Sise’s sons encountered the kidnappers as he was returning home late at night.

The gunmen reportedly ordered him to call his father and open the door for them. Upon entering, they took only the father, leaving other family members unharmed.

By morning, shells of bullets and some live bullets were found scattered around the compound, confirming that several shots were fired during the attack.
