BYD opens all-terrain circuit in China featuring 8 experience zones, including Wading Pool, Race Track and an Off-Road Park.
The eight experience zones is designed specifically for Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) and Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs).
Chinese automaker, Build Your Dreams (BYD), has officially opened its all-terrain circuit in Zhengzhou, China , designed to allow visitors to explore diverse driving scenarios, including vehicle water-crossing, indoor sand dune climbing and off-roading.
Designed specifically for Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) and Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs), BYD’s Zhengzhou all-terrain circuit boasts eight experience zones, including an Indoor Sand Dune.
Featuring a 29.6-meter vertical drop and a 28-degree slope, the Guinness World Record certified indoor sand dunes offers visitors an authentic dune-bashing experience.
There is also a 70-meter-long water crossing pool that is exclusively designed for the Yangwang U8 – a $160k SUV that has the ability to wade and drive on water under emergency scenarios.

Through the underwater observation glass, visitors can witness the Yangwang U8 effortlessly maneuvering forward, turning, or reversing in the water.
The circuit also has Kick-Plate, which simulates icy road conditions with a wet, polished cement surface, allowing drivers to experience emergency situations in a controlled environment.
BYD’s new circuit also features a 1,758-meter race track that includes nine curves and a 550-meter straight acceleration section.
There is also a 15,300-square-meter dynamic paddock that features over a dozen scenarios, such as standard slalom, moose testing and automated parking.
In addition to the new all-terrain circuit, BYD has partnered with the Federation of Automobile and Motorcycle Sports of China (CAMF) for the “New Track Scheme”, targeting 1 million people to get off the track.
“BYD Circuits will accelerate the professionalization of China’s NEV racing events and reshape China’s automotive culture,” said Guojun Zhan, the president of Federation of Automobile and Motorcycle Sports of China (CAMF).
