Digitalisation: Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation, OHCSF, Coronation Group launch digital upskilling programme for civil servants

The Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation, in collaboration with the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF) and Coronation Group, has launched a digital upskilling programme designed to strengthen efficiency, transparency, and service delivery across Nigeria’s public sector.

The initiative seeks to address longstanding challenges related to manual processes and limited technology adoption within the civil service by equipping officers with practical digital competencies that support automation, data-driven decision-making, and improved responsiveness to citizens’ needs.

The training curriculum focuses on four core areas: Microsoft Office productivity tools, cloud-based collaboration and communication, enterprise systems, and digital workplace readiness.

Participants will also gain exposure to Enterprise Content Management Systems (ECMS) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms to streamline workflow automation, enhance data accessibility, and support faster, more reliable public service delivery.

Speaking on the significance of the programme, Eniola Olowu, Deputy Director of Programmes at the Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation, said digitalisation is critical to building a modern and citizen-centred Civil Service.

She noted that the initiative aligns with the Federal Government’s digital transformation priorities, including the rollout of the ECMS under the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan 2025 (FCSSIP25).

Ngozi Akinyele, Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at Coronation Group, emphasised the private sector’s interest in a capable and efficient public administration, stating that improved governance environments support investor confidence, business expansion, and sustainable economic growth.

She described the partnership as a demonstration of Coronation’s commitment to nation-building and long-term institutional strengthening.
