Prof. Bishop Sam Onyeagoziri Ndubueze, General Overseer of Champion Cathedral, Abakaliki, claims a local cult group is blackmailing him after he condemned their activities.
He said he received threats and a ₦10 million demand before doctored n*de photos surfaced online, insisting they were AI fabrications. Ndubueze has called on security agencies to investigate.
The General Overseer of Champion Cathedral, Abakaliki, Prof. Bishop Sam Onyeagoziri Ndubueze, has accused a local cult group of blackmail after he condemned their activities.
He said trouble started after he criticized the Omabe masquerade on his community’s WhatsApp platform, leading to threats. On September 1, 2025, his phones were stolen, and days later, he got a call demanding ₦10 million.
“They told me if I didn’t comply, they would send me packing from Abakaliki because of my stand against their masquerade,” he said.
Soon after, doctored n*de photos began circulating online. He insisted, “Those pictures were taken from my traditional wedding thanksgiving years ago. They used my face from that event to fabricate something entirely false.”
Clarifying further, he said: “None of her n*de pictures had me by her side. What’s trending online is a manipulation, they only merged my image from the chest upwards with hers.”
Ndubueze has urged security agencies to investigate and prosecute the perpetrators.
In other news….Two young ladies have stirred reactions online after mocking men who approach women while driving Toyota Camry cars.
In a viral video, they questioned why men still drive Camrys instead of luxury brands like Benz or Lamborghini. One of them said it was especially “annoying” when Camry drivers stop to toast pretty girls on the road.
Their remarks have since sparked mixed reactions, with many slamming their comments as unrealistic and materialistic.
