Edo To Host 40,000 Delegates For CGMI 2025 Convention

BENIN – The Church of God Mission International (CGMI) on Friday said it is set to host its 2025 Mega Convention, expecting over 40,000 delegates across Nigeria and beyond in Edo.

The convention, according to the church, would include powerful teachings, worship experiences, and various impactful leadership programmes designed to uplift and transform lives.

Codenamed MegaCon 2025, and themed Focus on Christ for Immeasurable and Infinite Love, the event promised a spiritually enriching and life-changing experience for all attendees.

Chairperson of the Mega Convention, Rev (Mrs) Maureen Okoro-Sokoh, said the event would run from August 4–10 at the Balm of Gilead, Benin.

She added that the gathering not only reflects CGMI’s spiritual authority but also drives local tourism, hospitality, and business growth in Edo State.

She noted that Archbishop Margaret Benson-Idahosa, CGMI’s presiding Archbishop, would be joined by renowned ministers, including Bishop David Oyedepo, founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide.

Also expected are Bishop (Dr) Feb Idahosa, CGMI Cabinet Head and BIU President, and Bishop Wale Oke, PFN President, alongside many distinguished ministers.

“There’ll be anointed gospel ministers leading worship, creating an atmosphere of soul-lifting praise, heartfelt worship, and powerful encounters with God.

“CGMI MegaCon remains the ministry’s flagship event, drawing thousands of believers, leaders, and seekers annually for worship, renewal, and spiritual growth.

“The programme will include leadership training, youth involvement, empowerment sessions, and community development aimed at deepening faith and practical Christian engagement.

“Archbishop Benson-Idahosa described MegaCon 2025 as a divine appointment and urged all believers to refocus completely on Christ’s immeasurable and unfailing love.

“She said the gathering offers a chance to reconnect with Christ the center of our faith and experience His limitless, transforming, and eternal love.” Okoro-Sokoh noted

Rev Tari Hudson-Ekiyor, CGMI Director of Administration, assured that proper security measures were in place to ensure a smooth, safe, and hitch-free convention experience.

Other key figures at the press briefing included Rev Steve Okoro-Sokoh, Rev Engr. Etinosa Igbinobaro, and Rev (Mrs) Joy Ayere, Kingdom Builders Director.
