EFCC arrests 12 illegal Bureau de Change operators in Lagos

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 12 suspected illegal Bureau de Change (BDC) operators in Lagos.

The commission’s Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday in Abuja.

He said the suspects were apprehended on Wednesday following intelligence on their activities.

He added that the suspects were operating BDCs without the required licences.

“Items recovered from them include cash and exotic jewellery.

“The suspects are currently under investigation and will be arraigned in court soon,” Oyewale added.
