The Emmys 2025 red carpet were must-see TV. Whether your Sunday nights are sacrosanct and reserved solely for appointment viewing, or you prefer to binge shows long after they’ve aired, eager to finally see what all the hype is about, the Emmys 2025 were where the best in American prime-time programming was celebrated.
Hours before the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards were broadcast from the Peacock Theater in Downtown Los Angeles, the fun started on the Emmys 2025 red carpet. With stars from Severance, The Pitt, The Studio, Adolescence, The White Lotus, The Penguin, The Diplomat, Slow Horses, Paradise, The Last of Us, and Bad Sisters, among others, all nominated, the Emmys 2025 red carpet was the place to strike a pose for a sea of photographers, reunite with fellow cast members, and stop for interviews—all while dressed to the nines.
Once the ceremony began, comedian Nate Bargatze, the evening’s host, delivered a steady stream. Severance, Apple TV+’s sci-fi psychological thriller, led this year’s pack of nominees with 27 nominations (including nods for Creative Arts Emmys, which were awarded last week), with Adam Scott and Britt Lower nominated, respectively, for outstanding lead actor and lead actress in a drama series. Lower, who wore a copper Calvin Klein Collection dress by Veronica Leoni, took home the Emmy for lead actress in a drama series. Which led viewers to wonder: Was it her innie or outie in attendance? (It was job-related, after all.)
Just behind the dystopian series was The Penguin, HBO’s Batman spin-off, which earned 24 nominations (including nods for Cristin Milioti and Colin Farrell). Milioti, who took home the Emmy for outstanding actress in a limited series or movie, wore a custom crimson gown by Danielle Frankel. At the end of her acceptance speech, Milioti exclaimed, “I love acting so much, wooo!”
The Studio, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s satirical series, racked up 23 nominations, and on Emmys night made history, breaking the all-time record for most wins in a comedy series with 13 wins. Rogen, who GQ once hailed as “Hollywood’s chillest suit guru,” wore a custom Etro suit for the event, a look reminiscent of his Studio character’s wardrobe. Elsewhere, Jenna Ortega stood out in a top made out of jewels from Givenchy by Sarah Burton, Lisa wore a bubblegum pink Lever Couture gown, and Scarlett Johansson opted for a custom Prada strapless column gown in pastel yellow silk chiffon and crêpe.
