Christians have been urged to forgive one another for their prayers to be answered and be true children of God.
The Bishop of Kwara Diocese, Anglican Communion, Rt. Rev. Sunday Timothy Adewole, made the call at Good Friday Service at Saint Barnabas Cathedral, Sabo-Oke Ilorin, Kwara State
The clergyman, who spoke on the 7 words of Jesus on the cross, urged husband to forgive their wife just as wife should also forgive their husband.
He also urged friends to forgive each other just as ministers of God should also forgive each other.
“We should forgive each other for our prayers to be answered, in your work place forgive. parents should forgive their children. When you repent of your sin he will forgive you. We should believe in God.” He added
Bishop Adewole also urged parents to take good care of their children just as children should also take care of their parents.
“You should take good care of your parents to receive breakthrough in life. We need to cultivate the habit of taking care of our parents. Remember your parents in anything you have. We need to be conscious of the word of God.” He said
He also urged parent to teach their children how to handle challenges
“Let them understand the nitty gritty of life. Parents should not compare their children with others because they add to their problem. Parents should talk to them in gentle way”, he said.
He also stressed the need for honest relationship with God to get what one desire or thirsts for.
