David Coote, a former Premier League referee, has pleaded guilty to a child image offence.
He was charged in August following an investigation into a category A video, which was recovered by the police in February.
Coote had initially pleaded not guilty in a hearing in September at the Nottingham Magistrates’ Court.
He was sacked after comments in a video about former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp surfaced last year.
In the hearing held today, Coote confirmed his name and entered his plea before Judge Nirmal Shant KC, who adjourned the case for sentencing.
“You have pleaded guilty to a serious matter. Whether this means custody or not will be decided when all information is before the court, which is why I have ordered a pre-sentence court,” she said.
Coote is to appear in court in December, after being granted conditional bail.
