Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has issued a stern warning to the public about fraudulent recruitment schemes perpetrated by scammers, some posing as FRSC officials.
In a statement released on Monday in Abuja, Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM) Olusegun Ogungbemide, the Corps Public Education Officer, voiced alarm over the rising number of fraudsters exploiting job seekers.

“These scammers deceive and extort unsuspecting Nigerians with false promises of employment within the Corps,” Ogungbemide said.
He highlighted that fraudsters have gone to the extent of issuing counterfeit call-up letters for FRSC training schools and the FRSC Academy to dupe victims into paying fees.
Ogungbemide clarified that the FRSC’s recruitment process remains transparent, merit-driven, and exclusively announced through reputable channels such as national newspapers, television stations, and verified FRSC platforms.
“At no point has the Corps authorised any personnel or representative to request money or any form of gratification from applicants for employment,” he emphasized.
The FRSC urged the public to dismiss any dubious recruitment offers and report suspicious activities to the nearest FRSC Command, law enforcement agencies, or through official FRSC channels.
Reaffirming the Corps’ dedication to integrity and fairness, Ogungbemide advised Nigerians to stay vigilant and verify all recruitment-related information via official sources, including the FRSC website at www.frsc.gov.ng.
