The Global Patriots Germany, a diaspora branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has conveyed heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia following his election as the party’s flagbearer.
In a statement, the organisation expressed that the results of the primaries demonstrate the trust placed in Dr. Bawumia’s leadership, competence, and vision by the party’s members.
“His victory also signals the party’s readiness to consolidate its gains and strategically reposition itself for the future,” the statement read.
The diaspora branch also praised the NPP for successfully conducting the 2026 presidential primaries.
“Global Patriots Germany commends the New Patriotic Party for conducting a competitive but orderly internal democratic process that has strengthened party unity. With the party emerging victorious and focused, attention must now shift to building a strong, disciplined, and formidable team capable of addressing national challenges and earning the renewed confidence of the Ghanaian electorate,” the statement added.
As a diaspora-based political advocacy group dedicated to promoting democratic governance, development, and accountability, Global Patriots Germany emphasises that the path forward requires inclusiveness, strategic coordination, and effective communication.
The organisation pointed out that the 2028 general elections will require not only continuity of ideas but also renewed energy, unity of purpose, and credible leadership at all levels of the party.
They further expressed their willingness to support constructive engagement, policy dialogue, and diaspora participation that will significantly contribute to the NPP’s preparations to secure victory in 2028.
