GHANA: Joy Prime launches first edition of Prime Insight this Saturday

Joy Prime is set to roll out the maiden edition of its new current affairs programme, Prime Insight, this Saturday, August 16, 2025, from 7:00 am to 9:00 am.

The show, hosted by award-winning journalist Blessed Sogah, will provide viewers with in-depth conversations on pressing national issues, bringing together politicians, activists, and thought leaders.

Focus of the First Edition

The debut edition will tackle two critical subjects:

The Fight Against Galamsey: What Next?

The Impending Akwatia and Tamale Central By-elections

These issues, which dominate both national and community-level discussions, will be unpacked by a diverse panel of voices drawn from politics, activism, and civil society.

High-Profile Guests

Confirmed guests for the first edition include:

Salam Mustapha, National Youth Organiser, NPP

Rashid Tanko Computer, Director of Elections & IT, NDC

Ivan Kyei Innocent, Youth Activist

Daryl Bosu, Deputy National Director, A Rocha Ghana

Naa Densua, Member, Stop Galamsey Protest

With illegal mining continuing to threaten Ghana’s environment and political by-elections stirring intense debate, the discussions are expected to generate compelling insights and offer possible solutions.

A New Platform for National Conversations

Prime Insight is designed as a fresh space for incisive, solutions-driven dialogue on governance, politics, and social issues.

The programme will air every Saturday morning on Joy Prime (DStv 281, GOtv 124, and Free-to-Air channel 102), with live engagement on @JoyPrimeTV across social media.

Don’t miss the first edition of Prime Insight this Saturday, August 16, from 7:00 am to 9:00 am, only on Joy Prime.
