Legendary Hiplife artiste, Obrafour, has heaped praises on Sarkodie, describing him as the only young act he has encountered who embodies true respect and reverence for his seniors in the music game.
According to the veteran rapper, in all his years in the music industry, no young artiste has shown as much humility and reverence for his seniors as the Tema-based rap king.
“I am yet to see any other colleague of his who displays such respect and empathy for his seniors in the game,” Obrafour revealed in an interview with Code Micky.
The two rap heavyweights have shared stages over the years, including their electrifying link-up at Sarkodie’s just-ended Rapperholic Concert in Kumasi.
Obrafour, who has collaborated with Sarkodie on timeless hits such as Moesha, Always on My Mind, Saa Okodie No, Hope (Brighter Day), Hiplife and Life, was also full of admiration for Sarkodie’s unmatched work ethic.
“He used to record at least one song every single day when I met him. It was unmatched. I have not seen anything like that before,” Obrafour recalled.
According to him, this tireless effort explains Sarkodie’s massive catalogue of hits and his dominance in Ghana’s rap culture.
“I am not saying this to flatter him, but I genuinely admire him for his work rate,” Obrafour stressed.
