Gunmen kill 34-year-old man in Ondo

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers on Friday killed a 34-year-old man, Okudili Okoro, in Ondo State.

They also kidnapped a woman, identified as Mrs Orogun was whisked away by unknown gunmen in Ogbese, Akure North Local Government Area of the state.

The spokesperson for the state police command, Olushola Ayanlade, confirmed the incident to journalists in Akure.

He said the 10-man gang stormed the town in two vehicles.

Ayanlade said: “The vehicle used in the act was an unregistered Silver colored Honda Accord car, which headed towards Akure after the operation.

“Another unregistered Grey colored Toyota Camry also headed towards Owo after the attack.

“The state Commissioner of Police, Adebowale Lawal, visited Ogbese, the scene of the incident, on Friday and ordered all tactical commanders to do everything possible to rescue the victim unharmed and arrest the perpetrators.”
