Gwandu Emirate Security Group Nabs Six Criminal Rlements In Kebbi

An internal local security mechanism created by the emir of Gwandu, Muhammadu Illiyasu Bashar and co- supervise by district head of Nassarawa, retired major general Nasir Muhammad and the village head of Rafin Atiku ta gabas have arrested at least six criminals including a woman during their routine midnight patrol.

According to head of the group who doubles as village head of Rafin Atiku east, Alhaji Hamza Ahmed BK, the suspects were arrested in the dead of the night with intent to invade premises and houses of sleeping residents of the area “we were out at night as usual we saw them loitering and planning how to break into peoples houses or shops and we swooped on them and summarily arrested them.”

He noted that as the law demands the suspects were handed over to Birnin Kebbi local government divisional Police officer for proper investigations.

However, the suspects were arraigned by the Police at upper sharia court 5 and were remanded in prison pending the outcome of further investigations into the case.

Ahmed listed the suspects as Sanusi, Humaidu, Bashar, Bello, Abbas and Suwaiba female who are cooling their feets in a correctional center for various offences.

He commended the resilience of the security committee and the royal father for contributing to what Kebbi Government is doing in terms of security of lives and property in Kebbi state.
