The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Sokoto State has
blasted former Governor Aminu Tambuwal, describing him as “politically
retired.”
The State Chairman of the party, Sadiq Achida, launched the
attack while addressing journalists on Monday in Sokoto.
Achida said that Tambuwal had no independent political base,
claiming that he rose to power through the influence of political godfathers,
particularly Senator Aliyu Wamakko.
According to him, Tambuwal’s political future was bleak.
“No Abuja alliance, no media propaganda, no recycled
coalition can revive a politician whose only legacy is propaganda and a
collapsed state,” the APC chairman said.
Achida also alleged that Tambuwal refused to formally hand
over to his successor in 2023, to avoid being held accountable for leaving
behind a state riddled with incomplete projects.
