The Federal Government has over the years been canvassing for foreign investment in Nigeria. One of the organizations that driving the initiative is the Nigerian and Canadian Business Network (NCBN). According Mr King Wale Adesanya, the National Chairman of NCBN, the network is the largest business chamber of commerce for both Canadians and Nigerians business community headquarters in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
He said that the purpose of the network is to support, promote, empower and recognize the business persons in both Canada and Nigeria.
“We aim to shape the future of business people by providing opportunities for development, fostering valuable connections, and facilitating member success through business and career growth.
“We are committed to empowering business people to succeed on their own terms. We strive to provide opportunities to connect with and support each other. Our programmes contribute to the personal and professional development of our members, at the right time in the right way.
“We recognize and promote one another. We pursue growth and learning. We take risks. We support business people, he told Daily Independent.
Adesanya that organization is a strong network of ambitious and supportive people who know there is strength in numbers, adding the member referral programme helps to help grow the Nigerian and Canadian Business Network and provide rewards and recognition opportunities to members who forward prospects that result in membership.
“A growing membership strengthens the business network, enhances services for our members, and provides more business connections,” he stated.
According to him, when a member refers a friend or colleague to join the Nigerian and Canadian Business Network, they will earn a $50 credit their NCBN account that can be used to attend future paid events or towards their membership
However, he disclosed that he Nigerian and Canadian’s Business Network has been providing networking opportunities for over 15 years and continues to evolve and embrace today’s people in business. He said that NCBN supports and celebrates the growth and success of all its members.
He also stated that member volunteers work on committee initiatives, creating opportunities and an environment that helps the growth of Nigerian and Canadian’s personal and professional brands.
According to him, the Nigerian and Canadian Business Network believes in paying it forward by providing scholarships/grants to the young entrepreneurs.
