Prophet Sam Olu Alo, a prominent Nigerian cleric and planter of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Adamimogo Grace of Mercy Prayer Mountain Worldwide, has laid out a blueprint for Nigeria’s greatness, centered on a mix of political accountability, citizen responsibility, and economic empowerment.
Speaking to journalists in Jesus City Camp at Ilamija, Lekki, the prophet shared his thoughts following a 31-day fasting and prayer program.
Prophet Alo pointed to a lack of genuine love and a forgiving spirit as key inhibitors of national progress. While acknowledging the widespread suffering in the country, he advised against placing all the blame on the President alone.
He urged Nigerians to hold state governors accountable for how they utilize the huge financial allocations they receive.
He also called on President Tinubu to demand performance from his appointees and to rely more on the feedback of ordinary citizens.
The cleric emphasized the need for active political participation, stating that religious leaders should not discourage their members from politics. He urged Nigerians to get their Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs) and vote wisely, free from bitterness.
“Unfortunately, if we don’t vote and elect those who we really want, the wrong people would continue to be there,” he warned.
He also lamented that many leaders prioritize self-perpetuation over fresh ideas, which is a major impediment to progress.
A significant part of his message focused on empowering the youth through skills acquisition.
