According to government officials, the accident occurred after a double-decker bus carrying over 50 passengers from the city of Obera to Puerto Iguazu fell into a stream.

Preliminary investigations indicate the bus, operated by the Sol del Norte firm, collided with a Ford Focus car in Misiones Province, which borders Brazil and Paraguay.

Following the collision, the bus then veered off the road, hit the bridge railing and crashed below, partially into the riverbed of the Yaza stream.

“The accident, which occurred early this morning, took place on National Route 14, at kilometer 892, when a bus belonging to the Sol del Norte company, which was carrying around 50 passengers from Obera, collided head-on with a car travelling in the opposite direction,” the Misiones government said in a statement. 9 Killed, 30 Injured as Bus Plunges Off Bridge in Argentina
Source: Twitter Hector Gonzalez, the minister of health in Misiones, said around 30 people sustained injuries and were rushed to various hospitals for treatment.

The accident caused a major, tragic disruption as more than 100 firefighters and rescue workers tried to save those involved in the crash.

How many people died in the Soysambu accident? The tragic accident comes a few hours after a burial trip ended in tragedy when six people died on the spot in an accident at Soysambu, along the Nakuru–Nairobi Highway.

The victims were travelling in a private vehicle that collided with a bus.

The collision occurred in the Soysambu area in Mbaruk, a section notorious for high-speed overtaking and poor visibility during early morning hours.

A saloon car carrying six men collided with a Promise Company bus en route to Nakuru from Nairobi.

Preliminary investigations show that the saloon car’s driver was attempting to overtake another vehicle when he misjudged the distance and rammed head-on into the oncoming bus.

How many people died in the Murang’a accident? Elsewhere, a vehicle lost control at Wacengu Bridge and plunged into the River Kiama on Saturday, October 25, killing six family members.

The victims were members of the same extended family returning from a dowry ceremony in the Nazareth area of Kiambu County.

According to the police report, among the deceased were a husband and wife.

Six other people sustained various injuries and were rushed to Kirwara Hospital and Murang’a Level 5 Hospital for treatment.
