When will Raila Odinga be buried? Raila is scheduled to be buried on Sunday, October 19, in a private ceremony, as clarified by his brother, Oburu Oginga.
Updates concerning his final resting place have been shared online after radio presenter Joe Gidi posted a photo of his grave.
“At Kango’ Ka Jaramogi, where Baba will be laid to rest tomorrow,” he captioned the viral and heartbreaking post.
He took a selfie next to the grave, which was still under construction as Baba’s burial drew nearer.
Where will Raila Odinga be buried? His face was clouded in sorrow as he took the photo, breaking the hearts of Kenyans still struggling to come to terms with Raila’s death.
The grave was dug not far from Raila’s father, Jaramogi Oginga Odinga’s mausoleum, as seen in the photo.
Oburu clarified that his brother would be buried within the same vicinity as their parents, as stated in Raila’s will.
He noted that the will did not specify whether Raila wanted to be laid to rest next to his father or his mother.
