Charles and Mary Wangari Mwangi refused to allow their loved one to be buried until justice was served, as promised by the police The two entered the empty grave of the deceased and refused to get out, vowing not to leave until the Nakuru police kept their word Unfortunately, they were forcefully removed from the grave by mourners who wanted the burial to proceed as planned Residents of Bahati, Nakuru county, have been treated to a dramatic moment during a burial following an unexpected turn of events.

The deceased, Edward Mwangi Mwea, met his death after allegedly being killed, leaving his family crying out for justice.
All had been going well until the family prepared to lower the casket, when a relative caused pandemonium.
Edward’s murder suspect released by police The kin, who identified himself as Charles, refused to allow the burial to proceed, citing a broken promise by the police.
“We were told that since he was killed and the suspect had identified himself, he would be taken to court, and we would get justice. We were told not to take matters into our own hands. When Edward was taken to the mortuary and his alleged killer to the police station, I was among those who accompanied the killer to the station. No OB was written. No OB is showing that the deceased was killed. The killer was not even handcuffed,” he narrated. Charles claimed the suspect was released and allowed to go home, which puzzled him.
Nakuru pastor calls for peace during burial When he questioned the police, he claimed he was told there was nowhere the suspect could run or hide, a response he felt was meant to sweep the matter under the carpet.
A video showed Charles and the deceased’s wife, Mary Wangari Mwangi, entering the deep grave and sitting inside.
They boycotted the burial until justice was served, angering mourners who became increasingly irritated by their actions.
The presiding pastor tried to calm them down, but they refused to cooperate.
Mary, Charles overpowered by mourners Eventually, mourners forcefully lifted Charles and Mary out of the grave so the burial could proceed and be brought to a close.
Charles and Mary were overpowered, as those supporting them were fewer than those opposed to their protest.
Mary cried out for justice, saying she only wanted the police to keep their promise so the family could find peace and ensure their loved one received justice.
Edward was ultimately buried, and the grave was covered with soil as Mary and Charles watched helplessly, unable to protest further.
