KENYA: Trevor Ombija visits Ida Odinga in Bondo to condole with her: “Praying for you”

Trevor Ombija has paid a visit to Raila Odinga’s grave at Kang’o Ka Jaramogi in Bondo to offer condolences. His visit adds to the growing number of individuals coming to pay respects to the late former prime minister since his burial Ombija shared photos from his visit, including moments with Mama Ida Odinga and standing next to Raila’s gravesite Citizen TV presenter Trevor Ombija has joined the list of celebrities who have visited former prime minister Raila Odinga’s grave.

Source: Facebook Trevor visited Kang’o Ka Jaramogi in Bondo on Saturday, October 1, and condoled with Mama Ida Odinga.

Since Raila’s burial on Sunday, October 19, 2025, people have been continuously visiting the grave of the former prime minister.

The site at Kang’o Ka Jaramogi has become a major destination for mourners, delegations, and political figures paying their respects to the late veteran politician.

Some of the prominent visitors to the gravesite include former president Uhuru Kenyatta, who visited the grave on Monday, October 20, a day after the burial.

Former Ghanaian president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo also visited the site to pay tribute to Raila on Wednesday, October 29. KANU Chairman Gideon Moi led a delegation that included several governors to lay a wreath. Former Interior CS Fred Matiang’i also led a large delegation from Gusii land to the homestead. The list is long and continues to grow.

The gravesite, located next to the mausoleum of his father, Jaramogi Oginga Odinga, has become a focal point for both mourning and political expression. It has been covered with so many wreaths and flowers.

Ombija shared photos showing his visit and moments with Mama Ida in the house and others depicting him standing next to the grave.

Captioning the photos, the news presenter comforted Mama Ida, whom he referred to as “my mother.”
