Amid carols and compassion, the Lawrence Grace Foundation lit up the festive season, spreading Christmas cheer to over 300 widows in a heartwarming show of hope and humanity.
From healthcare to hope, Oluyinka Adewoye’s foundation is rewriting the stories of widows and indigent children across Lagos, with over 5,000 lives touched and counting.
The founder, Oluyinka Adewoye, disclosed that the Lawrence Grace Foundation was created to touch lives, with a clear focus on supporting widows and indigent schoolchildren in less-privileged communities through healthcare, free medications, empowerment programmes and livelihood support.
She noted that the foundation has empowered over 2,700 widows through vocational training and medical outreach, while more than 2,400 children have benefited from its interventions, which continue to deliver healthcare, empowerment and hope to the less-privileged.
Adewoye added that the foundation capped the festive season with a lively Christmas party for over 300 widows drawn from communities across Lagos State, featuring carols, games, celebrations and the distribution of food items, while also thanking individuals and organisations whose support made the event a success.
Adewoye praised supporters and partners for standing with the foundation, describing their contributions as a major boost to its ongoing humanitarian mission.
