Lawrence Okolie BEATS David Light LIVE: ‘The Sauce’ successfully defends WBO title in Manchester while Frazer Clarke breaks Bogdan Dinu’s ribs

Cruiserweight world champion Lawrence Okolie successfully defended his title with a unanimous decision win over David Light.

‘The Sauce’ won the vacant WBO title by seeing off Krzysztof Glowacki in March 2021 and has now defended it three times since.

Okolie had not fought since his decision win at The O2 Arena over Cieslak in February last year and his ring rust was evident in Manchester.

The Brit failed to secure the highlight knockout he was searching for but a patient and composed performance saw him cruise to victory.

A dogged Light ensured he went the distance but he failed to put Okolie under any real pressure, as the latter was handed the win after the judges scored it 116-112, 119-108, and 117-110.
