Man City thrash Wolves to top EPL table

The Premier League’s first week continues on Saturday, with Manchester City topping the table after defeating Wolves 4-0.

Pep Guardiola’s players had a dreadful season last season, finishing third after failing to win any trophy.

But City have now begun this term in emphatic fashion, thanks to an Erling Haaland brace and debut goals from Tijjani Reijnders and Rayan Cherki.

They are ahead of Sunderland and Tottenham Hotspur on the table, with both teams winning 3-0 against West Ham and Burnley respectively.

Newcastle were held to a 0-0 draw by 10-man Aston Villa in the early kick off, while Rodrigo Muniz scored a late equalizer as Fulham played out a 1-1 draw at Brighton.

Tomorrow, Arsenal travel to Manchester United, while Chelsea welcome Crystal Palace.
