Man United drastically reduce asking price for Jadon Sancho

Man United have reportedly reduced the asking price for the English forward, Jadon Sancho ahead of a new season.

Man United are reportedly prepared to part ways with winger Jadon Sancho for a reduced asking fee in the region of £17 million, as the club looks to streamline its squad ahead of the 2025/26 season.

The decision signals a significant drop from the £73 million United paid to acquire the England international from Borussia Dortmund in 2021.

Sancho spent the 2024/25 season on loan at Chelsea, where he delivered a steady but unspectacular campaign, regaining form and fitness after a difficult spell at Old Trafford.

While his performances at Stamford Bridge didn’t entirely recapture the flair he showed in his Bundesliga days, they were enough to rekindle interest from his former club Borussia Dortmund, as well as Juventus.

Both clubs are said to be monitoring the situation closely, with the reduced asking price making the 24-year-old a more attractive proposition.

Reports indicate that Dortmund, in particular, remain emotionally and tactically familiar territory for Sancho, while Juventus see him as a versatile attacking option who could add creativity and depth to their forward line.

United’s willingness to let Sancho leave for £17 million shows their intent to rebuild under the new Ruben Amorim management freeing up funds and space for new signings ahead of the upcoming 2025/2026 club football campaign predominantly in the Premier League.
