Musiliu Akinsanya, Lagos State Parks Management Committee Chairman, also known as MC Oluomo, has warned Igbos in the state ahead of Saturday’s governorship election.
Addressing supporters of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) at a meeting, MC Oluomo threatened Igbos who will not vote for the party to stay at home.
“We have begged them. If they don’t want to vote for us, it is not a fight. Tell them, Mama Chukwudi, if you don’t want to vote for us, sit down at home. Sit down at home,” he said.
This comes after Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) won in Lagos state during the presidential poll on February 25.
This has positioned Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, LP’s candidate in Lagos state, as a major challenger to incumbent Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the APC.
Meanwhile, Nigerians have taken to Twitter to express anger over MC Oluomo’s comments.
Below are some of such tweets:
MC Oluomo has terrorized Lagos & Lagosians, more than all the kidnappers in Nigeria combined. Sanwo-Olu, the police & the DSS will all turn a blind eye to this.
Never interrupt your enemy when they are making a mistake. Let them continue. pic.twitter.com/IZOQ2e8NJA

If MC Oluomo was from ‘another’ tribe in Nigeria, he would have been picked up by the police.

This is MC Oluomo referring to GRV as Igbo, telling the youths that if GRV wins Lagos Yorubas will be sent out of schools, Yorubas will be intimidated, Lagos eill become owned by Igbos…….
Lagosians need to come out and massively vote for GRV, there is alot at stake. pic.twitter.com/3PEuHg3XT4

When thugs come out openly to issue threats against a democratic process, they definitely have the police in their pockets.
MC Oluomo isn’t bluffing.

I see the police hasn’t said anything about MC Oluomo even though they were very quick to falsely and illegaly ask people to not bring their dogs to polling units.

MC Oluomo is bigger than Nigeria Police and DSS
I dare them to invite him talk more of arrest.

The only reason why MC Oluomo is still walking freely is because he is Yoruba. Should I re-echo the complicity of the police in the electoral violence making rounds in Lagos!????
Later, Ben HUNDEYIN will want to go into a disgraceful altercation in defence of their incompetence

There are two elections in Lagos on Saturday.
1. The official governorship election to determine the CEO of Alausa.
There is also an election for the godfather of the Lagos mob – who controls the streets of the city.
Why do you think MC Oluomo has activated thugs? /1

MC Oluomo spoke in the language of the street – the only language he understands. The language that has given him – an illiterate nobody – fame, power & wealth.
That language is division, threat, and intimidation.
And why not? Nigeria rewards shady and unscrupulous characters.
