Mr Eazi announces new EP ‘Maison Rogue’

Afrobeat superstar Mr Eazi is set to release his new EP, Maison Rogue, on September 25 via his label, emPawa Africa.

The project follows his 2023 album, The Evil Genius, and was recorded at the Hotel Maison Rouge in Cotonou, Benin, which also served as a creative space for his previous work.

The upcoming EP, Maison Rogue is expected to showcase the signature blend of vulnerable and introspective storytelling of Mr Eazi. Maison Rogue is led by two singles, Casanova and Corny . Casanova, a playful yet honest track about love and temptation, was released with a music video filmed in Barcelona. The song, produced by TMXO and Kel-P, offers a candid look into the artist’s personal life.

The video, directed by Ademola Falomo, features a short, humorous storyline that complements the song’s energy. The EP also includes the July release, Corny, a mellow love song that highlights Eazi’s melodic style. Another recent single, Attention, was featured on the soundtrack for a blockbuster F1 movie.

The announcement of Maison Rogue comes on the heels of several major milestones for the artist. Mr Eazi recently married actress Temi Otedola in a private ceremony in Iceland. The wedding, which drew significant media attention, was a major event in his personal life.

He has also been active in the business world through his emPawa Africa initiative, which supports and mentors emerging African artists. While there are no scheduled tour dates announced for 2025 to support the new EP, fans eagerly await the project’s release to experience his latest musical evolution.
