Head of Country Office NEFGAD, Mr Akingunola Omoniyi
The Network for the Actualisation of Social Growth and Viable Development (NEFGAD) has announced that its founder and convener, Mr Omoniyi Akingunola, will proceed on a study leave to further his academic and professional development.
Akingunola has since handed over the leadership responsibilities of NEFGAD to Ms Uneku B. Ojo to act on his behalf to ensure seamless continuity of the organization’s programmes, advocacy engagements, and institutional projects.
Speaking during the handover, Akingunola expressed confidence in Ojo’s capacity to sustain and expand NEFGAD’s vision of promoting democratic values, transparency, good governance, and active citizenship. He reassured stakeholders that his study leave will, in the long run, enrich his contributions to the organization upon his return.
NEFGAD remains committed to its mission of advancing democratic governance and civic responsibility in Nigeria and beyond, Mr Omoniyi said.
He appreciated the continued support of the group’s partners, civil society allies, the media, and the general public during this transition period.
