~ says Bayelsa healthcare, a top priority
Professor Seiyefa Brisibe, the Commissioner for Health Bayelsa State has extended warm greetings and heartfelt wishes to all Bayelsans.
He sent his warm regards with great hope saying that the new month marks another opportunity for the ministry to strengthen collective commitment to improving healthcare delivery across all communities.
Prof. Brisibe shared his deep appreciation to the “Dan Etete Foundation” for their partnership in building a Staff Quarters for health workers at Kaiama Referral Hospital.
In line with the government’s policies on accessible and quality healthcare for all, the Commissioner for Health, Prof. Seiyefa Brisibe upon his visit to the Kaiama Referral Hospital also announced the formal handover of modern blood banks to the Kaiama Referral hospital, and called on Bayelsans to make use of it whenever the need be.
His Words: “This initiative will help save countless lives by ensuring the timely availability of safe blood for patients in need, especially accident victims, mothers during childbirth, and those with chronic health conditions.
He said, the Ministry has also commenced free hydrocele surgeries in designated medical centres in partnership with Christian Blind Mission’s(CBM) Foundation.
The humanitarian exercise aims to restore the health, dignity, and productivity of affected individuals, particularly in rural areas, he added.
He said the programme reflects the State government’s unwavering dedication on making the health of Bayelsans a top priority, assuring that the Ministry will continue to provide equitable healthcare services and supporting the well-being of every citizen.
The Health Commissioner called on well meaning Bayelsans to embrace the opportunities of the new month, and continue to support government health initiatives, promote healthy living, and work toward a stronger and healthier state.
During the visit the Commissioner was joined the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Jones Stow, and host of other Directors of the Ministry and top government functionaries.
