Christopher “C.J.” Wallace, the son of late rap legend The Notorious B.I.G., has filed a defamation lawsuit against music producer Jonathan Hay, accusing him of making false and damaging claims linking Wallace to alleged s3xual misconduct involving Sean “Diddy” Combs.
Per court documents obtained by PEOPLE on Friday, Hay—who was previously listed as John Doe in a separate lawsuit—allegedly stated in an online interview that Wallace and actor Willie Mack lured him to Wallace’s home so Combs could s3xually assault him. Hay also claimed Wallace witnessed the alleged assault.
The complaint further states that Hay falsely alleged Wallace engaged in sexual relations with Combs and participated in so-called “freak offs,” a term referenced in multiple legal actions currently surrounding the embattled music mogul. Combs remains in federal custody on s3x-crime charges.

“Hay acted with actual malice, knowing the statements were false or with reckless disregard for their truth or falsity,” Wallace’s lawsuit alleged of Hay, adding that Wallace “has suffered general and special damages, including loss of professional opportunities, humiliation, and mental anguish.”
Wallace, 29, “categorically denies” the allegations and asserts in his lawsuit that Hay knowingly published “false, unprivileged statements of fact” to third parties, causing reputational harm and emotional distress.
The suit (against Hay, who has been tied to several high-profile allegations involving Combs), filed on Wednesday, November 12, seeks both punitive and compensatory damages.
