Professor Samaila Mande of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) has been elected as the new President of The Academy of Management Nigeria (TAMN).
Mande was unanimously elected during the academy’s 19th annual general meeting, held on Thursday at Southern Delta University, Ozoro.
Recognised as the nation’s foremost body of scholars and experts in management disciplines, the academy plays a key role in shaping research and practice in leadership and management.
A distinguished academic in business administration, with expertise in marketing communication and entrepreneurship, Mande previously served as the National Secretary of TAMN.
He also lectures as a visiting scholar at the School of Media and Communication, Pan Atlantic University, Lagos, and at various military institutions across Nigeria.
In his new role, Mande is expected to steer the academy toward strengthening scholarship, research, and professional practice in management.
Confirming the development in a press release, the organisation’s Publicity Secretary, Professor Justine Gabriel, said: “His appointment is a testament to his expertise and dedication to the field.
“We congratulate Prof. Samaila Mande on his election as President of the Academy of Management Nigeria. We look forward to working with him to advance management knowledge and research in Nigeria.”
The Academy of Management Nigeria brings together researchers, practitioners, and academics to share ideas and best practices in the field of management and leadership.
