Olori Olayinka Balogun, the most senior wife of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Lekan Balogun, Alli Okunmade II, recently lost her mother, Madam Victoria Lagunju.
Mama Lagunju, a retired teacher, died on Thursday 30 March, 2023, at the age of 91.
Olori Olayinka Balogun and her siblings have picked June 8 and 9 for the burial.

Invitation for the party is out already, and children of the deceased are not ready to leave any stone unturned in making the burial a befitting one.
The burial proceedings will commence on Thursday 8 June, 2023, at First Baptist Church, Oke-Okanla, Osogbo, Osun State with a Christian Wake by 4pm.
There will be funeral service for the deceased the following day Friday 9 June, 2023, at First Baptist Church, Oke-Eesa, Iree, by 10am. Reception would follow later by 1pm the same day at the popular Women & Child Initiative Foundation, WOCDIF Centre, Iwo-Osogbo Road, Osogbo.
Madam Victoria Lagunju is survived by lovely children who have all excelled in their various chosing careers.
Speaking about her late mum, Olori Olayinka Balogun said, “We were all Baptists untill we got to the adult life, where everyone began worshipping in other denomination.
“She was a very humble and highly spiritual woman with a Baptist background.
“Mama took time to pray for each child and their own children.
“She was a retired teacher who ensured that you cannot remain a dullard in her class.
“Mama would teach all of us even though we are in our 60s and 70s.
“I miss her already.
“She was very funny, witty and generous. She had nicknames for all of us.
“May her gentle soul rest in peace,” she concluded.
