PDP Governors Converge in Gusau for Strategic Talks Ahead of November National Convention in Ibadan

Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, is set to host his fellow Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors in Gusau on Saturday, August 23, 2025, for a strategic meeting ahead of the party’s national convention.

The governors are expected to arrive in Gusau on Friday evening for a dinner hosted by Governor Lawal, before the closed-door session begins the following day.

According to Sulaiman Bala Idris, spokesperson to the Zamfara governor, the gathering is a crucial moment for the PDP as its leaders deliberate on political strategies and unity within the party. He explained that the meeting would serve as a platform to strengthen collaboration among the governors, address pressing political concerns, and align developmental priorities across their states.

The discussions will also focus on preparations for the PDP national convention, which the National Executive Committee (NEC) has scheduled for November 15 and 16, 2025, in Ibadan, Oyo State.
