Police issue cheques to families of deceased officers in Plateau

nigeria police force By Ado Abubakar Musa, Jos The Plateau State Commissioner of Police, Emmanuel Olugbemiga Adesina, has presented cheques from the Group Life Assurance/IGP Family Welfare Scheme to the families of deceased police officers in the state.

Speaking at the command headquarters in Jos, CP Adesina, on behalf of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, offered his condolences to the families.

The cheques, totalling over N9 million, were given to the families of officers who paid the “ultimate price in the course of their service to the nation.”

The commissioner acknowledged that the financial support may not fully ease their pain or bring back their loved ones, it serves as a gesture of gratitude for their sacrifice.
