Zamfara State police tactical operatives have rescued nine kidnapped victims who were abducted on April 11, 2023, in Kucheri, Tsafe Local Government Area of the State.
According to a press statement issued by the State police spokesman, CSP Mohammed Shehu, Police Tactical Operatives successfully rescued nine hostages comprising seven females and two males on Thursday, April 13.
The statement said that the rescue of the victims was sequel to credible information obtained from a good Samaritan which the Police used and successfully rescued the victims hale and hearty.
“The victims while with the police underwent medical checks at police Clinic facility Gusau, debriefed by the police detectives and thereafter reunited with their family/relations”, the statement read.
The Commissioner of Police, Kolo Yusuf congratulated the victims for regaining their freedom and reassured the public of a sustained onslaught against the activities of bandits and other criminal elements.
