Career
Sadau started her playing career in the Kannywood film business in 2013, after being introduced by actor Ali Nuhu . She began in minor roles until becoming well-known for her performances in films like Gani Ga Wane and Jinin Jikina, both of which she co-starred in with Nuhu.
Sadau received the title of “Face of Kannywood” in 2016. In the same year, she appeared in an EbonyLife TV series. Later that year, on October 3, 2016, the Motion Picture Practitioners Association of Nigeria (MOPPAN) barred her from Kannywood productions when she appeared in a romantic music video with artist Classiq. Sadau formally apologised to MOPPAN in 2017, and the suspension was overturned in January 2018 thanks to the involvement of Kano State Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
In 2017, she founded Sadau Pictures and produced her first film, Rariya, starring Ali Nuhu, Sani Musa Danja, Sadiq Sani Sadiq, and Fati Washa. She then returned to acting, appearing as a teacher in the television drama series MTV Shuga. She reprised her role in the sixth season of MTV Shuga Naija: Choices (2019), which was filmed in Nigeria and starred Timini Egbuson, Yakubu Mohammed, Uzoamaka Aniunoh, and Ruby Akabueze.
Sadau played a brief role in the 2022 Bollywood film Khuda Haafiz: Chapter 2 – Agni Pariksha, which starred Vidyut Jammwal. Sadau is not just an actress and producer but also a businesswoman. She founded Sadau Beauty and also runs Yogohamy, an ice cream business in Kaduna State, and Sadau Movies, a film production company. She has worked as a brand spokesperson for Maltina.
Sadau also participates in charitable initiatives through her nonprofit, Ray of Hope. She was named a “Peace Ambassador” by the Association of Northern Nigerian Students and assigned to the Technical Committee of the Investment in Digital and Creative Enterprises (iDICE) program by the Office of the Vice President, Kashim Shettima.
