Real Madrid have gone two points clear at the top of the Spanish La Liga after thrashing Real Sociedad 4-1 in a league encounter on Saturday night.
Vinicius Junior scored a brace for the hosts and almost made it a hat-trick in the dying minutes, but it was ruled out for offside.
Sociedad had been unbeaten in 11 games before playing Madrid, but it was Gonzalo García who opened scoring in the fifth minute before Mikel Oyarzabal converted a 21st-minute penalty to equalise.

Vinicius restored the lead for Madrid with a penalty on 25 minutes, Federico Valverde added another on the halfhour mark, before Vinicius nets the fourth in the second half.
Alvaro Arbeloa’s side leapfrog Hansi Flick’s Barcelona, who are set to take on Girona on Monday.
Real Madrid will head into Tuesday’s Champions League knockout tie full of confidence after tonight’s performance.
