March 26, (THEWILL) – Reno Omokri, a former aide to ex-President, Ebele Goodluck Jonathan, has apologised to the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, for accusing him of rigging Anambra State presidential and senatorial election.
His apology comes after a comment he made that the former Anambra State Governor cannot win 97 percent of the votes in Anambra State without rigging.
However, after watching a trending video where the Labour Party presidential candidate was celebrated while attending the one year anniversary of office of the governor of Anambra State, Charles Soludo, Omokri made a U-turn.
He described the applause as a show of organic love.
“Peter Obi just walked into the room and the applause was like thunder. Obviously, he is more popular than the incumbent governor with what we are seeing. So, maybe I want to walk back on what I said, I can see it now, possible he got more than 97 percent of the votes without rigging. That is organic love”, he stated.
