Reno Omokri defends Tinubu’s decision to send Shettima to UNGA

Reno Omokri defends Tinubu’s decision to send Shettima to UNGA

Former aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has criticised those questioning Vice-President Kashim Shettima’s representation of President Bola Tinubu at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

In a post on X, Omokri described the critics as “professional complainers” who were inconsistent in their arguments.

His words: “Just last month, these professional complainers recklessly alleged that Vice-President Kashim Shettima was being sidelined.

“Today, their new cry is that the president should have attended UNGA because it is too important for Vice-President Kashim Shettima to represent the president.

“You see how they have hung themselves with their own words? How can the vice-president be sidelined if he attends a high-level meeting that these critics feel ought only to have been attended by the president?

“These critics should make up their minds. Come up with one lie and stick to your propaganda!”

Shettima is currently representing Tinubu at the ongoing United Nations General Assembly in New York.
