March 15, (THEWILL) – In July of last year, Mohamed Salah signed an extension to his contract with Liverpool that would keep him with the team until 2025. The deal was reported to be worth £350,000 per week, making Salah one of the highest-paid players in the English Premier League.
However, despite his impressive salary, Salah has struggled to make an impact this season, scoring just 11 EPL goals. Liverpool’s title hopes are all but gone, and the team’s place in next season’s UEFA Champions League is far from secure.
As a result, rumors have begun to circulate that Salah may be considering a move away from Anfield. News reports monitored by THEWILL claim that Ligue 1 giants, Paris Saint-Germain, are one of the teams interested in acquiring Salah’s services. The French club is reportedly circling the Egypt forward, who may be tempted by a change of scenery after a disappointing season with Liverpool.
If Salah does leave, it would be another blow for Jurgen Klopp’s team, who are already set to lose Roberto Firmino and potentially other key players this summer.
