Should I Give My Girlfriend The Money After She Ghosted Me?

Should I Give My Girlfriend The Money After She Ghosted Me?

My girlfriend and I were together for a few months peacefully, until she stopped talking to me all of a sudden. We didn’t fight or have any problems. She just refused to pick up my calls and respond to my messages. I was so confused, because I could see her present online.

When I got tired of being ignored by her, I left her alone. I was determined not to reach out to her even though I wanted answers. “If she calls or texts, I’ll hear her out,” I resolved.

Then somewhere last week she texted me, “Please I need some money urgently. I promise to pay you back when I start work.”

Her message didn’t make sense to me. First, you stopped talking to me without telling me why. When you finally reached out too, you didn’t apologise for leaving me hanging. Rather, it was to ask me for help. I didn’t know what to make of it so I didn’t respond.

So she followed up her text with a phone call. According to her story, she got a job offer in Kumasi. While it’s a good opportunity for her, the job doesn’t come with accommodation so she would have to rent a place over there.

“I need GHS3,500 to pay for the rent. You will get your money back when I start working, I assure you.”

Three Months After Our Breakup, He Got Married

The truth is, I can help her. Nonetheless, I don’t trust that she would pay me back. That’s why I’m hesitant to give it to her. I mean, this is a woman who ghosted me while we were in a relationship. What’s the guarantee that she won’t disappear on me if I give her the money?

She’s been calling and texting me as if I owe her money and I am refusing to pay. I don’t pick up. I don’t respond to her messages either. I just want to know if I should help her regardless of her actions in the past. Or if I should return her energy and ghost her in her hour of need.
