Nigerian singer Adekunle Kosoko, professionally known as Adekunle Gold, has confirmed that he and his wife, fellow musician Simi, have welcomed twins, marking a joyful new chapter for the celebrity couple.
Adekunle Gold announced the news on Wednesday via his Snapchat story, sharing a brief but emotional message that quickly spread across social media. “Asked God for another child, and He blessed me double,” the singer wrote, confirming widespread speculation about the couple’s growing family.
The confirmation follows weeks of rumours sparked in December 2025 when Simi shared a post featuring a clip from Adekunle Gold’s music video My Love Is the Same. She captioned the video, “From my baby, for my babies,” a message that caught fans’ attention and fueled pregnancy reports.
In the video clip, Simi appeared with a visible baby bump, further intensifying speculation that the couple was expecting another child. At the time, neither Adekunle Gold nor Simi addressed the rumours directly, choosing instead to keep details of their private lives away from the public eye.

Adekunle Gold and Simi are regarded as one of Nigeria’s most admired music industry couples, having built both personal and professional partnerships over the years. The pair got married in a private ceremony in January 2019 after a long-standing friendship and successful musical collaborations.
They welcomed their first child, a daughter named Adejare Kosoko, popularly known as Deja, in May 2020. Since then, the couple has occasionally shared glimpses of family life while largely maintaining privacy around their daughter.
News of the twins has been met with an outpouring of congratulatory messages from fans, colleagues, and fellow celebrities, with many celebrating the couple’s growing family and wishing them well as they embrace parenthood once again.
