Soludo says politicians offering to serve for one term need psychiatric examination

Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo has said that any politician who promises to serve only one term in office requires psychiatric evaluation.

Speaking at the Anambra South endorsement rally in support of his second-term bid, Soludo dismissed the idea of a one-term tenure as unrealistic. He challenged advocates of the idea to cite any instance where it has been successfully practised.

The governor further clarified that the Nigerian Constitution permits elected public officers to serve two terms, not one.
