South-Africa: Another Springbok set to undergo hair transplant

Two more Springboks are set to undergo a hair transplant – RG Snyman and Edwill van der Merwe.

The rugby players join a long list of sports stars who have had he surgical procedure which embeds hair follicles into thinning or balding areas.

SPRINGBOKS TO UNDERGO HAIR TRANSPLANTS

This week, two Springboks – Edwill van der Merwe and RG Snyman, who play for the Sharks and Leinster, respectively – posted Instagram Stories about their trips to a hair transplant studio.

RG – who recently shaved off his mullet – posed for pics at the company, which speacialises in hair restoration.

Edwill added in his own post that he was ready for the “big day”.

The duo are not the only Boks to have had a hair transplant, also known as a “Follicular Unit Extraction”. Others include Sharks player Andre Estherhuisen, Stormers’ Cobus Reinach, and Springbok assistant coach Duane Vermeulen.
