Despite all the talk levelled against Chiefs, Du Preez has defended his teammates from the detractors, saying they have no control over the decisions of the officials.
“The players don’t control the referee and linesmen. They make the decisions. We are just there to do our best,” he told the club’s official website.
Chiefs’ next opponent comes in the form of Marumo Gallants, who they face at the FNB Stadium on Saturday.
As a team we are preparing well for the game, and I am personally looking forward to it. We want to continue winning. It is our aim every time we step onto the field. From an individual perspective, I want to score goals that help the team win,” he said of their upcoming match.
